Brian D. Ellison, Pastor
Brian Ellison has been pastor
of Parkville Presbyterian Church since 1999. Originally from Puyallup,
Washington, he is a graduate of Harvard University and Princeton Theological
Seminary. Brian's particular passions in ministry--and responsibilities
at the church--include preaching and worship, helping the congregation develop
a vision for the future, and working with youth and their families. He
also enjoys teaching, where his educational interests include spirituality and
spiritual practices, theology and worship, and the distinctives of our
Presbyterian/Reformed tradition. He serves as moderator of the Heartland
Presbytery Committee on Ministry. Outside the church, he is
Adjunct Professor of Religion at Park University, a coffeeshop afficionado and
committed fan of the music and theatre scene in Kansas City. He and Romeo, a
8-year-old black labrador retriever, live just north of Parkville.

Matthew B. Reeves, Associate Pastor
Matthew
Reeves began serving as associate pastor of Parkville Presbyterian Church in
August 2002. Although he grew up
in
California
, he
has spent most of his adult life in the East and
Midwest
where he attended The College of Wooster in
Ohio
,
where he fell in love with his wife Heather, as well as Princeton Theological
Seminary. Fervor for reading and
lifelong learning fuels Matthew’s ministry interest in adult education, and
deep concern for others impacts his ministries of pastoral care and outreach.
He also enjoys running, reading short stories, bird watching, watching
baseball, and working together with Heather toward achieving culinary prowess.
