A 30 minute service of silence, Scripture and

| Other Worship Leadership
Opportunities
Adults and older youth serve weekly as worship
assistants, leading prayers and reading scripture.
Children grades 3 through 8 serve as acolyte,
leading the procession and recession with the light of
Christ. All members and visitors are invited to
sponsor sanctuary flowers in honor or memory of
a special person or event. Greeters are needed
to welcome people to worship at the front door each
week. And special opportunities abound for creative
participation, including the making of banners,
the performance of drama, and other opportunities we
haven’t thought of yet!

| Individual Worship
While coming together for
worship is a crucial part of our church life, it is
just as important to create space and time for God in
our own lives between Sundays. The church can help in
several ways:
-
Devotional guides:
Copies of two devotional guides, These Days
and The Upper Room are available in the
narthex. Additionally, the church publishes its own
devotional written by members each Advent season.
-
Prayer concerns: A group lifts up the joys
and needs of the congregation through a telephone
"prayer chain" and an e-mail list for
prayer concerns. A list of prayer concerns is also
updated weekly and available in the narthex. If you
have a concern for which you would like prayer, call
the church office. To join the phone or email list,
contact Joyce Berg, 741-7388.
-
Groups for prayer and study: Small groups
meet in individual homes each week. See their
description under "Spiritual Growth
Opportunities"
-
Space to pray: The Sanctuary is open
throughout the work week and most evenings. Feel
free to check with the church office to be certain
the church is unlocked. The Pastor is also glad to
pray with individuals; call any time.
